Back in print

August 19, 2010

Today we have good news for quilters!  Occasionally, we get letters and e-mails asking if we would happen to have any copies of our out of print books on hand.   We have written 5 books with Martingale & Co. and our first 4 books are out of print…because they were written 5-10 years ago.

Recently we were contacted by a quilter who was desperately looking for a copy of our book Down In The Valley.  She was hoping that we would have a copy to sell her, because the books on ebay were beyond her budget.  Unfortunately we didn’t have any left, but I was curious, so we went to check online to see what it was currently selling for.  We were SHOCKED!  Many copies are selling for $150- $190 each!  I showed my husband how much the books were selling for, and he looked over to our bookshelf, where there are two copies, one for each of our kids…and I reminded him to ‘don’t even think about touching those books’.

However, Martingale & Co. has come up with a new solution for anyone wishing for their own copy.  Now, on the Martingale site, you can download your own digital copy of our book!  And the best part is the price, it is only $13.99!  It is still the same full color copy, but now it can be conveniently stashed in your computer, where you can print out the pages you need for the project you choose.  You can find the listing here: http://www.martingale-pub.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=52_65&products_id=1179

And we are very touched, to see that a book we created over a decade ago, is still used and cherished by quilters.  We hope that you will still enjoy the projects as much as we do.

See you soon,

myra

I’m glad to hear that some of these books are still available. I have the Love, Joy, Peace book and have loved it to death. The cover is practically tore off and pages are bent and tattered. This was NOT one of those quilt books that I bought and stuck on a shelf. I have made several treasured quilts from this book! There may come a day when I can no longer read it where I have to buy the ebook. I’m glad to know that it may be available with the publisher. Thanks, ladies, for sharing with us about this option.
