Ocean waves
Yes, today is the day that my life long friend becomes a little older. I have been saving this picture, just so I could post it today.

A few months ago (before all of this snow) we spent a day together photographing some of our quilts. We tried several different shots with this Ocean Waves quilt, when I suddenly realized that it needed the human element. So I grabbed the camera, and made Cori stand on the rocks!

So, as I mentioned earlier…today we are giving the birthday gift to you. In honour of Cori turning 35, we have picked 3.5 yards of Cori’s favorite fabrics, and we will be sending it out to one lucky viewer. All you have to do is to leave a comment saying ‘Happy Birthday Cori’ and you will be entered to win! But I am only giving you ONE DAY to leave your comment. I will be picking the winner at midnight tonight. So help me celebrate the day my best friend was born!

See you tomorrow…when I let you know who the winner is.

Okay – good time to finally leave a comment… Happy Birthday Cori! :)Almost the same day as the newest member of my family… Got the phone call last night – my sister-in-law had a baby girl yesterday evening (which means this new little girl is going to have three Big Brothers — YIKES!). So that’s two babies down and just me to go (and three big little boys under 5 already). Anyone want to come hang out at Christmas?Very cool pic. I think the way a quilt is photographed can add so much. Well done ladies!Kari-Ann

Happy Birthday Cori!!! I am also enjoying the 100 days of quilts. It’s inspiring me to get started on an applique quilt that I’ve been putting off. Maybe this year….Thanks for all the encouragement. p.s. I hope your boys are still enjoying the ice…mine are; but only at the rink.

Happy Birthday lady!! Hope you had a great day, Cori. I will be srue to have an umbrella drink on the beach for you (unless the one I had last night counts, because of the time change).I haven’t had a chance to look at all the quilts because our internet time here is limited. What I have seen is spectacular.I am looking forward to leaving the heat and I hope to join you in May for the retreat.Enjoy the rest of your day.Happy quilting.Sara
