Day 40 – Calypso

Calypso was a project that was designed to use the fabrics from our second fabric collection – bohemian rhapsody. This is a favorite of ours, because it has a different layout than most quilts. Calypso is A-symmetrical, with an applique block in the upper right corner, and a vine border twinning down the left, and bottom sides of the quilt. The colors are also very vibrant, and it is definitely a quilt that makes you stop and look.

I wish that you could see the quilting on this project. It was done by a friends of ours who lives in North Dakota. Pam did a great job of creating some background quilting that reflects the applique shapes. It is stunning!

At the beginning of the month, we mentioned that one of us had a birthday coming up….so keep watching, because you will have the chance to win the gift.

See you tomorrow.
